J Street Responds to Sheikh Jarrah Arrests

Update: 15 activists were arrested this afternoon while protesting in Sheikh Jarrah, per Haaretz . Today, J Street Executive Director Jeremy Ben-Ami released the following statement: J Street is deeply concerned by recent actions taken by Israeli authorities in response to protests and dissent in Jerusalem and the occupied territories. Last week, 17 political activists were illegally detained by police in Sheikh Jarrah, where growing numbers of Israeli and Palestinian activists are holding weekly protests against settler takeovers of long-time Palestinian family homes in East Jerusalem.

JStreetPAC Launches 2010 Campaign; Endorses 41 Candidates

WASHINGTON – JStreetPAC, the country’s first and only pro-Israel, pro-peace political action committee, announced its first Congressional endorsements of the 2010 cycle, backing 41 candidates – matching in its first wave of endorsements the number it backed in the whole 2008 cycle. These endorsements kick off a new election cycle for JStreetPAC, which distributed more money to candidates than any other pro-Israel federal political action committee in the 2008 cycle, according to FEC reports.

First of all, you are always going to want to be sure that you are giving yourself at least a couple of weeks to shop around and give yourself a decent idea of the facilities that are in your area.  One of the worst things that you can do is wait until the very last minute to begin calling around.  When you do this, you are practically begging to make your moving situation ten times more stressful.  By giving yourself several weeks to shop around, you don’t have to worry about stressing yourself out, and you do not have to worry about missing out on any of the great deals that are at your nearby facilities. Also, when you are shopping around for a self storage unit, you are going to want to be sure that you are taking very careful notes.  One of the most common mistakes that people commit when it comes to self storage is failing to compare apples to apples.  They get so flustered when they are calling around that they actually forget to record the details that they are gathering, meaning that they do not have an accurate, helpful way to compare their local facilities at the end of the day.  As you are shopping around for your self storage units, you are going to want to be sure that you are not falling victim to this problem.  Whenever you get a new price, be sure that you write it down.  Likewise, when you encounter security features and special, you are going to want to be sure that you write those down as well.

She poses her subjects – in this show, pensive young women – against wallpaper per whose intricate motifs would exhaust a less patient artist.

Recent projects include large-scale, site-specific drawings for the Van Abbemuseum in the Netherlands, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Inova in Milwaukee, Spertus Museum in Chicago, the Smart Museum at University of Chicago and a new commission that is currently on view in the main lobby of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, as part of the exhibition, Production Site: The Artist’s Studio Inside-Out .
