Globe University-Madison East Students Support Local Food Pantries, Learn about Food Issues through Service-Learning Project Students at Globe University’s Madison East campus have been actively contributing to an “eat local, give local” effort in the Madison area. Working with Community Action Coalition, a nonprofit agency that supplies food pantries and administers community gardens in Dane County as part of its anti-poverty programs, and several other volunteers, our students have helped grow and donate 46 tons of fresh produce to local food pantries this growing season

Acts of hate like these desecrate the values of tolerance and religious freedom on which this country was founded and provide fodder for extremism around the world. This anti-Muslim act is the latest in a deeply disturbing series of events in recent weeks, some which have involved physical violence

Senator Mark Miller Visits Globe University–Madison East From left: Senator Mark Miller, Campus Director Rocky Klitzke, Director of Campus & Program Promotion Bob Trewartha, and Regional Director Shana Weiss On September 1, 2010, the Madison East campus of Globe University hosted Senator Mark Miller (D-16 th District), who represents the campus and surrounding communities. Senator Miller asked many questions about Globe University’s approach to education, competitive advantages, student body and the for-profit education sector. Campus Director Rocky Klitzke said, “We make our students’ success our top priority and direct all our efforts in helping the students find the career they are passionate about.” The Senator was impressed with the campus facilities and the strategies Globe University uses behind the scenes to assist students. He also spoke to a medical class and wished the students well in their endeavors to find career employment.

We unequivocally condemn this brutal attack and hope that Israeli and Palestinian security forces swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice.

Globe Education Network Participates in Indo-US Summit on Higher Education

July 30 through August 1, three members of Globe Education Network’s (GEN) research and development team participated in the Indo-US Summit on Higher Education in Mumbai, India. The Indo-American Society created this summit to raise awareness of the current education status within India, ignite reform, and help build relationships between American and Indian education institutions. More than 500 delegates from around the globe attended this interactive forum, including vice chancellors, deans, professors, principals, directors, chairmen, and many others in the fields of education and business. The Union Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) and Education, Kapil Sibal, led the summit inauguration and presented staggering facts on the eminent need for more higher education opportunities within India
