The College of Fine Arts is pleased to welcome over 4,000 high school students from around the state for the annual Illinois High School Theatre Festival January 7-9, 2010. Students will attend workshops conducted by theatre professionals from all over (including faculty and students at Illinois State University), plus high school theatre productions selected by judges during the past year to be brought to the Festival.  The Festival will culminate in an all-state production of the musical “Urinetown” performed by high school students from around the state.

Parkour Motion Reel Video

This never before released Ferrari Modulo was designed in 1967 by Pininfarina ’s Paolo Martin , which was a concept vehicle for Ferrari. The beautiful futuristic looking car was first revealed at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, but was never released. Don’t know why Ferrari wouldn’t release such a car, but to think about it some designs you just have to keep to yourself! Theatre and Dance Season 2009-2010

The School of Art Printmaking and Small Metals studios have been clearing the way for faster, cheaper, and greener methods for etching. In Fall 2009 students will be introduced to a new process called Photocopy Etch, which can be used in conjunction with other non-toxic processes, on zinc, aluminum, copper, and steal intaglio plates and brass in the small metals studios. What makes Photocopy Etch unlike anything else is its ability to transfer a drawing or photo onto a plate without the use of chemicals or any other hazardous substance to make an etch resist.

The Marotti three-wheeled car isn’t your usual looking concept vehicle. Straight from Poland the three-wheeled sports car looks like an airplane and weights 440 kilos and is powered by a 750 cc Honda V4 engine that produces 100 HP, which is controlled with a sequential six-speed gearbox. Don’t know when you’ll see this on the road, but what a really neat concept.

Robert Bradford amazing art sculptures are very unique. In 2004 Robert began experimenting with a series of sculptures which utilise plastic toys as their main modelling material, and which have now attracted consistent international attention. After trials with two unsatisfactory construction methods, he began screwing the toys into wooden armatures, which proved both strong and highly adaptable as a method.
