Night Lights

YesYesNo turned the city of Auckland, Ferry Building into a great art installation for the viewers. It would be amazing to see a whole city done up like this building! “Our job was to create an installation that would go beyond merely projection on buildings and allow viewers to become performers, by taking their body movements and amplifying them 5 stories tall. We used 3 different types of interaction – body interaction on the two stages, hand interaction above a light table, and phone interaction with the tracking of waving phones.

Created by Evan Roth , he presents us a pocket sized digital graffiti blackbook designed for recording more than just ink! DustTag is an iPhone application designed for graffiti writers that visualizes the motion involved in the creation of a tag. Motion data is recorded, analyzed and archived in a free and open database, 000000book.com , where writers can share 3-D animated representations of their hand styles. All tags created in DustTag are saved as Graffiti Markup Language (GML) files, a new digital standard used by other popular graffiti applications such as Laser Tag and EyeWriter.

This never before released Ferrari Modulo was designed in 1967 by Pininfarina ’s Paolo Martin , which was a concept vehicle for Ferrari. The beautiful futuristic looking car was first revealed at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, but was never released. Non-Toxic Printing Techniques on Campus

The School of Art Printmaking and Small Metals studios have been clearing the way for faster, cheaper, and greener methods for etching. In Fall 2009 students will be introduced to a new process called Photocopy Etch, which can be used in conjunction with other non-toxic processes, on zinc, aluminum, copper, and steal intaglio plates and brass in the small metals studios. What makes Photocopy Etch unlike anything else is its ability to transfer a drawing or photo onto a plate without the use of chemicals or any other hazardous substance to make an etch resist.

The Many Benefits of Student-Led Writing Workshops

Today’s guest blogger is Britney Wilkins. Having tried with little success to coach college freshmen on better writing skills, the idea was brought up to have them workshop with one another rather than have myself or another teacher edit and respond to their papers. The process worked better than expected and produced papers that were more involved and carefully edited than those produced with teacher only feedback

Scenography Apartment Interior

Pics of Romanian architects from AA Studio apartment interior that was designed in Bucharest. Small Description after the photos… Scenography Apartment Interior by AA Studio Beside choosing interesting objects and placing them in harmony with the surroundings, an interior design implies re- thinking the whole space, resulting a concept that satisfies the client’s needs and requests and also who reflects the ingenuity and talent of the architects. It looks simple, but most of the so called interior designs don’t manage to exceed the first step, they simply stay at the stage of choosing from catalogues products more or less luxurious

Marotti | Three-Wheeled Concept

The Marotti three-wheeled car isn’t your usual looking concept vehicle. Straight from Poland the three-wheeled sports car looks like an airplane and weights 440 kilos and is powered by a 750 cc Honda V4 engine that produces 100 HP, which is controlled with a sequential six-speed gearbox. Don’t know when you’ll see this on the road, but what a really neat concept.
