More than 1,800 OCCC students have chosen to forgo coming to campus and instead, take online classes, said Stu Harvey, executive director of Planning and Research, in an e-mail.There has been a significant increase in the number of online classes taken, Harvey said. “[There’s been] more than [a] 66 percent increase in the number of students and 78 percent increase in the number of credit hours in the last five years” he said.
